Stanford CS342 - Building for Digital Health is a project-based course for the winter quarter where Stanford CS students will build curated digital health projects from Stanford University School of Medicine leveraging the Stanford Spezi framework.
In the span of just five years, our diligent students and resourceful faculty have brought over 20 projects to fruition, not only at Stanford but at institutions across the nation and the world.
A core part of the course is innovative research and translation projects led by Stanford faculty. Participating in CS342 allows you to build out a first minimum viable product (MVP) that can subsequently be improved and deployed in collaboration with the Biodesign Digital Health team:
We urge faculty partners like you to think beyond the horizon. By proposing projects that serve the greater public interest, you can be an architect of transformational, sustainable, and equitable solutions that have a profound impact both domestically and globally.
The class will commence in January 2026 and conclude by the end of March 2026. We encourage you to visit last year's CS342 web page to acquaint yourself with the class structure and past projects and gather more insights into our class.
